Some Uplifting Bible Verses for Rough Times

Some Uplifting Bible Verses for Rough Times August 18, 2021

I combined some of my favorite photos (especially from our recent vacation at Hilton Head Island!) and these soothing Bible verses I found tonight to make some more verse images. I’ve also included some older verse images I’ve made for previous blog posts! I’m especially fond and grateful for the statue of Jesus pic (which coincidentally has part of the verse I chose, “come to me all” inscribed on it!) I found after a friend’s wedding, it’s hands down one of (if not, the) luckiest shots I’ve ever taken.

All following images are by Connor Brennan

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

“Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” (Proverbs 12:25)

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3)

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

“Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.” (Psalm 25:16-17)

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” (Isaiah 35:4)

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

“Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)

“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)

“But for you who revere My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays.” (Malachi 4:2)

“He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.” (Psalm 107:29)

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14)
