Senator Mark Warner (D-VA)say that homeschoolers “Threaten what it means to be an American.”

Funny. The homeschoolers I know are independent thinkers who like to do things for themselves, don’t ask for a hand out and wouldn’t take one if it were offered, come from many different religious and political backgrounds, think that parents know what’s best for their own children, just want the government to get out of our houses and leave us the hell alone. Unless, of course, he’s referring to the Socialist America that the Democratic Congress is marching us ever closer towards. You know the one. It’s where the government knows best and we’re all too dumb to think for ourselves. I think a letter writing campaign may be called for here.

The bottom line is: If he means the real America-count me in! If he means the new Socialist States of America-count me out!
