Today we are a third of the way through the fitness challenge. Here’s where I am today:
My body fat has decreased from 41% to 39%. That’s a loss of 5 lbs of fat and a gain of 2 lbs of muscle for a net loss of 3.
I no longer have any issue getting up at 6 a.m. I practically leap out of bed each morning to go to the gym.
The hardest part for me is the food. I love to cook and to eat, so the idea of changing my diet has been really difficult.
I expected to be burning out by this point, but I’m not. Going to the gym is like going to the playground as a kid. It’s all play and fun…but with a purpose.
I made a paleo birthday cake last night for one of our coaches. It was amazingly yummy and didn’t taste diet at all! After a night in the fridge, the icing reminded us of ice cream. I will definitely be making this again.Here’s the recipe I used for the cake and the icing.
