Two Prayer Requests

Two Prayer Requests January 29, 2015

A very dear friend called me earlier today to alert me to the situation of 12-yearold Joe Cronin. He’s in a coma at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi following an asthma attack. The hospital is pushing to have him removed from life support over the objections of his family and despite the fact that he is not brain dead.

You can read more about his situation here. His family is in need of prayers and is asking everyone to take a moment to call the hospital at (361) 694-5000  and ask them to spare Joe’s life. They’re also begging other hospitals to be willing to take this boy as a patient. The clock is ticking. Please pray, call, spread the word, and ask your local hospitals for help.

In my comment box on another post a reader said

“The last eight years have been so hard, and just as I started to take a breath, my husband started having extreme pain and weakness in his legs that has just been diagnosed as a demylenative polyneuropathy. No idea why, or how much worse it may get, or when or if he’ll recover. I’m breaking under the weight of so much suffering for so long…I try to pray, but God seems so far away.”

Please join me in praying for Carrie, her husband, and the rest of their family – for healing, for peace,  for the strength to finish the tasks God has given them, and for rest.

Thank you.
