Christmas Baking – No Chill Sugar Cookies

Christmas Baking – No Chill Sugar Cookies

I had to call my mom for this recipe this morning, because there’s no way my kids were going to wait the hour or so between mixing the dough and rolling out the cookies without driving me absolutely insane. We whipped these up this morning, and they were in the oven before the 4-year-old could even begin to whine that she hadn’t gotten to use the star shaped cutter. They’re already out of the oven and frosted (we dip them in royal icing and add sprinkles for easy peasy cookies.)

No Chill Sugar Cookies

1 cup butter salted

1 1/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp almond extract

4 cups flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350

Cream butter and sugar together

Add in eggs, vanilla, and almond extract

Slowly add in flour and stir until just combined

Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick

Cut with lightly floured cookie cutters

Bake 10-12 minutes

Don’t forget the sprinkles!
