Networking

I don’t know what has come over me but perhaps in the few weeks, it’s almost like I’ve thought “I’m not connected enough on the internet.” Because I’ve increased the amount of my internet networking accounts by 100% (or is it 200%? Maybe it’s 200% because a 100% would just be the same, right? I digress).

Twitter has been the coolest thing lately. If you don’t have an account, sign up and let’s follow each other. I explained it to several people at the convention last week so here’s my take – it’s like party line texting or MySpace mixed with text messages. You have a group of friends, you send out a message and it goes to them and they send ones, mostly observations and activities through the day. I’ve heard it called a “micro blog” and that’s pretty accurate. All the times you want to share something but don’t want to write a lot about it. You can see my twitter messages on the right side of the page, but you don’t have to have a website to do it. You only need a phone and a computer. Follow me here.

I joined Facebook.com the other night. I guess I put it off for so long because I thought I’d be the oldest person on there and also because I thought it was only a college thing (it got started that way, right?). So now I have an account. If you have one, add me as a friend. I got a long way to go to catch up. 🙂

I also joined Christianlife.com, a beta social networking site started by Strang Communications. I wanted to show my support but so far, we are like the Marines – the few, the proud.

Besides all that, I have this blog, MySpace, my YouTube.com page and my wedding site. Am I missing any? 🙂
