Jesus Choking Hazard

Fred Clark shared a link to a post about a Jesus action figure, which I blogged about before, and which poses a choking hazard. Reading that reminded me that I had not yet shared this image I came across, in which Jesus seems to be reenacting a famous scene from Star Wars: A New Hope.

Some may find the above blasphemous. But if you do, then I would encourage you to ask yourself whether you don’t envisage God and/or Jesus as being a lot like Darth Vader, saying “if you’re not with me, you’re my enemy” rather than “whoever is not against us is for us,” and planning to kill all those who will not willingly submit to his rule. If so, then it is hard to see where the blasphemy is.
