Eating in Rome: Il Falchetto

Eating in Rome: Il Falchetto July 21, 2016

I love seafood, and not ordering pasta while in Rome seemed unthinkable. And so I ordered their thick spaghetti with frutti di mare – in other words prawns, clams, mussels, etc. It was delicious. And the bread seemed to me to be semolina bread, which is another favorite that I miss. For those who may not know, I grew up in an Italian neighborhood and so Italian food – not the pizza and pasta imitations you get in most places, but the real thing – is something that I grew up eating and have a particular appreciation for.

If you’re going to Rome and are looking for a place to eat, you can find more information on the restaurant’s website:

You will have noticed that my first two posts related to Rome, since I have taken up the subject again, focus on food. I assure you that that is entirely coincidental. But the food really can be fantastic. And even at the hotel I stayed at (UNA Hotel Roma, which is incredibly conveniently located in relation to Termini Station), the breakfast buffet was incredible. The croissants stuffed with chocolate hazelnut spread were particularly amazing.

OK, time to stop now – there is still a while until lunch…
