Do You Ever Feel Like God is Hiding From You?

Do you ever feel like God’s ignoring your prayers? In Proverbs 25:2 it’s written, “It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.” It’s easy to feel as though our prayers are unanswered and God’s truths are unrevealed. Sometimes we have to search, and it feels as though God is hiding himself from us — hiding his truth, hiding his love, hiding his will for us. The Bible tells us it is the glory of God to conceal a matter, and the glory of kings to discover it. God does not make everything immediately plain to us. He wants us to seek him out. God is not an answer booklet. He is a Person who desires a relationship with us. Like a father who hides things for his children to discover, God has concealed treasures in secret places, and as we discover what he is revealed we draw closer to our heavenly Father.
