Disciplines Create Responders

Discipleship without discipline is like trying to win a race without training. Discipline without discipleship is like practicing but never participating. Discipline in the spiritual life is beyond sport and into creating time and space for God to become our master and where we can respond freely to His guidance. Disciplines of solitude, worship, and lovingly doing good to others creates the time and space for God’s presence to be acknowledged and responded to.
