We must make a transition from a sheriff to a gardener when we realize that God Himself is a Gardener, not a sheriff. God does the pruning while cultivating and drawing out the seed of His creation. We must surrender our sheriff’s badge and legalistic pistol and engage ourselves in godly cultivation. We can effectively love those who are hurting when we use the bible as a seed bag rather than an ammo pouch.
