PRAY
Prayer is a powerful thing. In prayer, not only do we speak to God, but God can change our hearts. He can stir us to action and motivate us with divine love and care. You can help adopting families through prayer.
Pray together with them, or pray by yourself during your quiet time with the Lord — just pray. Ask God to give the family patience and understanding through what could be a trying season. Pray also for the child or children they will one day bring home, that God might be preparing their hearts to be welcomed by their new family.
If prayer doesn’t come easily for you, that’s okay. We would love to help you out.
Hopefully you’ve gained some inspiration from our suggestions, and you have new insight into how to serve those in your immediate or extended family, those in your church family, or those in your community who may be waiting to adopt.
