It’s so hot out in New York, palmetto bugs are gonna start flying around. For those of you not in the know, “palmetto bug” is the polite euphemism for a cockroach. They don’t usually fly, thanks be to God, but under the right heat and humidity they occasionally spread their wings and take to the air. I’m pretty sure that’s not in the Bible as a sign of the apocalypse. And I’m pretty sure the only reason that it’s not in there is because Saint John couldn’t stand to write it down; it upset him too much. Anyone within a thousand miles of New York needs to pack up and move to the North Pole where it’s safe.
