Abortion is murder.
There. I said it.
I am unapologetically pro-life. The taking of innocent life is never right, and should always be held as an abomination in a society of supposedly civilized human beings.
The latest statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO) state that nearly half of the pregnancies in the United States today are unintended.
“Accidents” is the term commonly used, but let’s take that fine point off and clear this up: If you’re “practicing” baby-making, by engaging in the act that everybody knows results in a baby, then it’s no accident.
You may have thought you could get away with it… one more time… but that doesn’t make it an accident.
More statistics from WHO suggest that four out of ten of these pregnancies are aborted, to the ghastly tune of around 3,000 abortions a day.
That’s 3,000 potential Pulitzer Prize winners, inventors, star athletes, gifted legal minds or medical miracle workers snuffed out.
And in a cynical, sinister plot, devised long ago by eugenics adherents, most abortion clinics are strategically placed in poor, minority communities.
After all, if there’s going to be an award-winning writer or physician, they won’t be coming from the minority population, will they?
Yes. We know that is absolute hogwash, based on the advances of minorities in everything from media, sports, the arts, education, medicine, and even politics.
African-American women make up a disproportionate amount of those 3,000 abortions performed each day. Hispanics or non-Hispanic minorities follow behind.
Even though those numbers are on the decline, it’s not enough. More must be done to reach these mothers and stop what amounts to genocide.
Another interesting fact that plays into the dilemma is the poverty rate.
The leading factor in poverty is single motherhood.
With an out-of-wedlock birth rate of over 70 percent for the African-American community, they make prime targets for those ghouls that prey on the desperation of those families.
Live Action is one of the leading pro-life organizations in the United States.
Founder, Lila Rose, has worked tirelessly to not only expose the horrors of the abortion industry, but to direct these women towards life, rather than death for their unborn children.
On Thursday, Live Action posted an amazing video to their Twitter account.
In the video, you hear a pro-life activist named “Sam” reaching out to a visibly pregnant African-American woman, as she was about to enter a Planned Parenthood abortion mill.
Sam explains to the young woman that his organization believes from conception, these are innocent human lives (They are), and let’s her know that there are resources available at one of the pregnancy centers, just up the street from the abortion mill. He mentions adoption as an option (It is), and points out something that seems to shake her.
Her baby has a heartbeat.
The young woman appears clearly rattled, and it’s obviously information nobody has attempted to talk with her about.
They certainly wouldn’t tell her inside the walls of the kill house.
At the pregnancy center, she could get the care she needed, and even diapers and other staple items, for up to two years, if she chose to keep her child.
The video is amazing, because it shows how you begin to change minds, and maybe even hearts – with knowledge.
What struck me was how the young woman repeated, “I really don’t want to. I don’t want to.”
Abortion isn’t always an act of callous selfishness. Often, they really are desperate, and maybe alone. This young woman said she had four other children. It’s a tough position to be in.
Just imagine if some of the money the government pours into taking unborn life went to support more of these pregnancy centers, or to make adoption more expedient and affordable.
Just imagine how many lives could be saved.
Sam gave this young woman something to think about, telling her she could take the time to at least check with the pregnancy center and see what they had to offer, and if she still wanted to have the abortion, she could always come back.
Of course, we don’t know what she ultimately decided, but for that day, she paused, and she said she would check with the pregnancy center, first.

For that day, that’s a win. That’s a life potentially saved.
