Idaho Moves to Defend Female Athletes (Pay Attention, Feminists)

Idaho Moves to Defend Female Athletes (Pay Attention, Feminists) February 27, 2020

Hello, America. This is what common sense looks like.

The wonderful state of Idaho is taking a stand for women and their rights to fairly compete in a field of their peers.

So here’s the backdrop: There has been an alarming surge of “wokeness” that pushes women to the back, in order to placate the feelings of men. In particular, female athletes are seeing their training and efforts brought to naught, because the current state of political correctness says that if a man can’t compete against other men, then he can claim to be a woman and enter in competitions against female athletes.

Big and burly slaps on some lipstick, puts a bow in his hair, and then goes head-to-head against natural born women, who, through the course of biology, are smaller and have less muscle mass. It’s the harsh truth of physicality that gives men the upper hand over women, when it comes to sporting activities.

It’s very convenient for those men who find themselves falling short, when it comes to honest competition with other men, in everything from track, to boxing, to weightlifting, and beyond, to suddenly realize they’re actually women.

I guess it’s easier these days to deny DNA and the hard science of biology than to admit you’re just not that good at sports.

When it comes to collegiate sports, the GOP-led Idaho House voted on Wednesday, passing a bill that forbids men from competing in women’s sports, simply because they “identify” as one of the girls.

The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. Barbara Ehardt (R) argued that its “intent is to continue to protect girls and women in sports, and to provide those opportunities that we have had for almost the last 50 years,” according to the AP. She added that other states are following in Idaho’s footsteps.

Ehardt also said that the law would only apply to Idaho-based student athletes, and students from other states could still participate in competitions in the Gem State.

I hope other states are following in Idaho’s footsteps.

On the left, the call to defend the “rights” of transgenders has created a messy hypocrisy. Whether it comes to sports or privacy in the bathroom, the feelings and opportunities for women must be shuffled to the back of the deck. This new frontier of victimhood requires it. Political correctness and those who advocate for it really aren’t that concerned with the rights of women, or with building a place of safety and equality for them. They just want the votes of women.

Oddly, the only place women really are valued on the left is at the abortion clinic, apparently. That’s when they howl the loudest about the rights of women.

Maybe not so much for all the sleeping females being ripped from the womb of their mothers, but still…

This particular bill still has to pass through the state Senate, but as it is also GOP-led in Idaho. I’m guessing it will pass.

I’m going to admit that I’m not the biggest sports fan, nor the most athletic. I do weight train, and I’ve recently discovered that I have some potential as a bowler. All that being said, the notion that men can claim a special ticket to jump ahead of women in leagues and competitions that were meant for them is of an interest.

It’s wrong. It’s oppressive to women.

This is also where we watch feminists to see if they side with women or they bow under the weight of political winds.
