What Does It Mean to Really Follow Jesus? A Video Q&A with David Platt

What Does It Mean to Really Follow Jesus? A Video Q&A with David Platt January 31, 2013

“I’m convinced that there are scores of people here and around the world who culturally identify themselves as Christians who are biblically not followers of Christ.”

David Platt, pastor and author of the New York Times best-selling book Radical: Taking Your Faith Back from the American Dream, is at it again, delivering another hard message for the Evangelical church in his new book, Follow Me: A Call to Die, A Call to Live. While Radical challenged Christians to “die to self,” Follow Me takes the next step and asks the question: What does it mean to really follow Jesus? And the costly answer “to lose your life,” Platt says, is one that many contemporary Christians are completely missing.

In our video interview below, Platt talks about why this is such a hard message for the church today, and if he thinks his message is getting through. We also talked about his passion for global disciple-making and the future of the Evangelical church.
