This month at the Patheos Book Club, we’re featuring a new book about Christian discipleship called Dallas and the Spitfire: An Old Car, An Ex-Con, and an Unlikely Friendship, by Ted Kluck and Dallas Jahncke.  The story chronicles the unlikely friendship between Kluck, a 34-year old surburban Dad, and Jahncke, a 21-year former addict with a prison record, that develops through the restoring of an old Triumph Spitfire.

Patheos’ Executive Editor Patton Dodd spoke with Kluck about the story — and discipleship in general — over Skype this week; Part 1 of their video interview is below.
