A week or so ago we talked about how no one escapes heavy trial in life, and I asked readers to pray for the intentions of several, and also to leave their own brief prayer requests in the comments section.
One request listed was for Erin, a teenage girl dealing with a very bad fungal infection in her lungs. I mentioned her here, as well because she was in extremely bad shape and treading the deadly dangerous waters.
Comes an email on her condition today which informs that Erin has opened her eyes, that her blood gasses are better; she does not need any more blood transfusions and she is being weaned from her ventilator. Although she is not yet out of the woods, this girl does seem to be turning a corner.
As a pal of mine likes to say, “prayer works.” And if we can all keep each other company in the crucible, well, that helps, too.
