Pope Preaches More Immorality

Pope Ratzi’s in Spain where two hundred gays and lesbians greeted his arrival with a “kiss-in.”  Spain has recognized gay marriage, liberalized divorce laws and allowed for abortions in the first trimester.

The Associated Press reports:

Pope Benedict XVI strongly defended traditional families and the rights of the unborn Sunday, directly attacking Spanish laws that allow gay marriage, fast-track divorce and easier abortions….

This description of how the pope “defended traditional families,” as if gays and lesbians were out in the streets murderously threatening the stability of happy families, is ludicrous.  If anybody’s families need defending, it’s those of gays and lesbians from the mediaeval immorality of the Catholic church.  Their families are under constant attack by the primitive forces of religious backwardness.

Not too long ago Darth Benedict was, bizarrely and contrary to all historical fact, blaming atheists for Nazism.  Today he wildly misrepresented events in 1930s Spain:

As he arrived Saturday, Benedict blasted [Spain’s liberal] policies, saying today’s “aggressive” anti-church, secular movement in Spain was reminiscent of the 1930s, when the church suffered violent persecution as the country lurched from an unstable democracy to civil war.

It will be recalled that the Vatican backed the fascists and Francisco Franco during the Spanish Civil War.  Franco won that war largely due to backing from the Nazis.  I guess the pope didn’t learn about that while he was in the Hitler Youth.
