Now I know why Rabbi Adam Jacobs was too busy to answer my e-mail. He was busy thinking up his next piece of garbage for HuffPo. Thankfully, this time I do not have to respond as Jerry Coyne, a fellow cultural Jew, has done it for me.
I highly recommend reading his critique. My favorite part is when Dr. Coyne uncovers the lying rabbi’s quote mining and stripping. I respect someone who tries to make his case with some integrity. But not someone who presents his argument decorated by outright lies.
Please remind me how this conforms to the theist’s god and its moral order of the universe? Is there a lying exception when it’s in defense of the deity?
