It’s a new month so it’s time for the Carnival of Evolution.
In case it’s new to you, the Carnival of Evolution is an aggregation of links to interesting stories about biological evolution from around the blogosphere. It’s hosted by a different science oriented site each month.
This month it can be found at Genome Engineering:
The focus of Genome Engineering is – quite obviously – the engineering of the genome. So what does that have to do with evolution, I hear you say? Evolution has been driven by genetic changes, both small and large, and the natural engineering of the genome has a lot to teach those of us who want to engineer in – ahem – a less ‘natural’ way.
Admit it. It’s much more interesting to learn about evolution than to read another post about some religious fanatics trying to deny it that it exists.
Unfortunately, I never seem to run out of those.
