When I say the church, I specifically mean Westernized Christianity. I’m not familiar with other countries, so I can’t comment. Some would say they are not as bad as someone else (usually Fundamentalists), but the entire system is broken and doesn’t work for this day and age. For 20 years I occupied a pulpit and preached to small congregations in rural areas. For the most part, the sermons were about loving your neighbor. I never got political and I rarely stepped too far outside prescribed boundaries. For the first half of my life I was very good at new years resolutions. I have always believed in setting and resetting goals and intentions.
