Blessings

This blessing is reprinted from our forthcoming book Women, Spirituality and Transformative Leadership: Where Grace Meets Power which will be published November 1 by SkyLight Paths.

 My name is Rachelle Figueroa and I am of the Tarascan and Arapaho Nations. I write this from my heart and offer you my hand in friendship and peace. With the utmost respect for my ancestors, Elders, and spiritual teachers that have gone before me, I would like to share with you some words of encouragement and hope. This is remarkable time on Mother Earth, offering an incredible opportunity that has never taken place on this planet. This is an opportunity to shift the consciousness of sharing, peace, and love into the Fifth World; to birth a new planet of compassion, generosity, and joy. The Indigenous/Native people of the world have been holding earth, air, fire, and water ceremonies and following their prophecies for hundreds of years for this moment in time.

 We, as women, have been given the responsibility of birthing this new, balanced, unified world. We have within us a most incredible power that no man has ever experienced. The time is unfolding for each of us to take our place in the Circle of Light, the Sacred Hoop of the Woman Nation. Our connection with Spirit is growing exponentially, our hearts healing with sincere surrender. Do not be afraid of your power, of your light. This is our destiny. Hope belongs to the next generations that are arriving on our Mother Earth: As a Mayan Shaman Elder told me, “The new leadership of our Nations has a Female face.” Together with all the women who have put their pen to paper for this book, we pray with uplifted hearts, to the Six Sacred Directions, for help and courage.
