One thing I know for sure after the WSF retreat is…

…the magic of being together. There is simply nothing like it. We started as 30 women coming from all different places, geographically, spiritually, emotionally, economically, generationally etc. etc. and we left as sweet sisters, aunts and nieces! The bonding and connections that were formed, simply by creating a sacred space where we could all gather and share and learn from one another was one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced!  The key to this, I think is the generosity of spirit and openness that I felt from all, where each of us could come as we are, and not only be accepted, but celebrated! Where our differences were a source of fascination and curiosity, a way to discover one another and dig deeper. Where honesty was a priority and speaking from the heart a necessity. Where our spirits we gathered and connected and the Creator/ Goddess spoke to us and listened intently to our hearts.

When I looked around the room, I would be filled with such awe, gratitude and love! Awe and inspiration because these women were powerful! They had an amazing amount and diversity of gifts, matched with keen intelligence and loving hearts, that were motivated with much to offer! Gratitude for the opportunity simply to be there and soak in their words, to hear their perspectives, their voices, their passions! And most importantly love, because that is what I got, pure and simple, from each of them. My heart had expanded exponentially to take each one of them in, to wrap each of them in the glow of white light of spirit, to care for each of them intimately, and pray for their well being and their love and their laughter! Because this is what I do with all my family, and that’s exactly what they had become.

Because the magic of being together, is the magic of true unity.
