A LITTLE NOSH AND SHMOOZ: IF YOU’RE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD …
If you’re not busy for lunch this Wednesday and are in the vacinity of Chicago’s North Shore, swing by the Hadassah luncheon where my brilliant and ridiculously handsome husband, Maurice Possley, will be joining me for a chat about our books — The God Factor (mine) and Everybody Pays and The Brown’s Chicken Massacre (his), as well as our respective journo jobs.
Here’s the official info:
Hadassah North Shore, 1724 First Street, Highland Park, hosts Book and Author Luncheon 11:30 a.m. March 21 at Westin Chicago North Shore in Wheeling. Speakers: authors Maurice Possley, Nobel* Prize finalist and criminal justice reporter for the Tribune; and Cathleen Falsani, religion writer for Chicago Sun-Times. Possley is co-author of the new** book about the Chicago Mob hit men “Everybody Pays.” Cathleen Falsani’s book is “The God Factor.” Reservations required by March 16. Cost $40. New Life Members and New Associates joining at luncheon are their guests. Call (847) 433-6350.
* While he’s surely eligible, Maury’s actually been a PULITZER finalist (a couple of times) and to our knowledge has never been a contender for the Nobel. Yet.
** And by “new” they mean 2001.
