PLEASE PRAY FOR CLEO

Our elder cat, Cleo — the light of our lives, grace with paws — is headed into surgery any minute to remove some tumors from her little kitty mammary glands.

Please remember her to her Maker.

We’ll keep you posted.

Thanks,
GGHQ

UPDATE:

Cleo came home today (Tuesday) with a stitched-up incision from her armpit to her groin and with half of her mammary glands gone. She’s groggy and in some pain, but she’s home and more or less in one piece. We should have the results of he histiology – which will tell us whether the tumors were malignant or not – in about a week. Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts for our girl. As soon as she decides to come out from under the guest room bed, we’ll post a few pictures of her and her new plastic cone collar. (Yeah, we’re not her favorite right now.)

In the meantime, here’s photographic evidence of Mouse’s (Cleo’s younger sibling) reaction to the news that she’d have to be sequestered for a week:

Quoth the Mouse: ‘Nooooooooo!’

Again, our thanks.
