Over coffee this morning …
We heard about a new sitcom coming to the CW network called, “Aliens in America,” described by Chicago Tribune TV Critic Maureen Ryan as, “a topical, sharp comedy about a Pakistani Muslim exchange student who arrives in Medora, Wis., to live with the Tolchucks, a family that is less than thrilled with his arrival — at first.”
We prayed for Britney and Steve and for cool heads to prevail.
We wondered if it is and if so, what it might mean (theologically); and also whether we really are allergic to red wine (we think it gives us a rash we call “Muppet mouth.”)
We read a news story on the WSB-TV Web site (in Atlanta) after we saw the unbelievable headline on CNN: “Armless man quizzed in neighbor’s death.”
We confirmed our belief that pet rattlesnakes are a bad idea, and so is putting your pet rattlesnake in your mouth, and that God is consistently gracious to fools (snakes or no).
We decided we want our very own “sleep concierge.”
We learned a little Swahili in advance of our big Africa journey (11 days to departure and counting!) Wapi choo?
