Please pray for Toot!

Barack Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, (that’s her on the right with B and his grandfather Stanley Dunham) is not doing so well, so please remember her to her Creator in prayer.

News reports late today said that Senator Obama has canceled campaign events Thursday and Friday to fly to Oahu, Hawaii (where he was raised for much of his childhood by the Dunhams, his mother’s parents) in order to visit the woman he calls “Toot” — a variation of the Hawaiian word for grandmother or elder. Mrs. Dunham was recently released from hospital for an undisclosed ailment, but her condition has worsened to the point that the Obama campaign has described it as “serious.” Senator Obama has said that one of his greatest regrets was not making it to his own mother’s bedside before her death from cancer in 1995.
