SAVE THE BOOBIES! SAVE THE BOOBIES!

SAVE THE BOOBIES! SAVE THE BOOBIES! November 10, 2013

No, not that kind.

THIS KIND!

Some of you know (because I’ve told you personally or perhaps you read about it HERE) that next weekend (Nov. 15-17) I am going to be walking the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk for the Cure for Breast Cancer in San Diego.
Sixty miles in three days.

I KNOW! Look at me, the so-not-athletic one who almost never works out.

But I’m GONNA DO IT.
I’m doing it for the many many (too many) women in my life who have battled breast cancer, and I’m walking it for three people in particular: My mother, Helen, who is a survivor now finishing a course of treatment for the cancer that returned seven years after her double-mastectomy.
I’m walking it in memory of my beloved Aunt Patti, my mother’s best friend and my brother’s godmother, who passed away when I was 12 after a long battle with the disease.
And I’m walking it for my dear friend, the mighty mighty Margaret Feinberg, who was diagnosed over the summer.
Because, as most of you know, I am a journalist who works best under deadline pressure, I’m sending this plea out last-minute on a Sunday in the hopes that you might be willing to sponsor me (even a few bucks would be super helpful) in the walk. Sponsorship promises are due tomorrow (Monday).
See? Deadline pressure.

Here’s the link to my sponsorship page: SAVE THE BOOBIES!!!

If you would consider making a small donation or sponsoring me mile for mile, or sending up prayers and intentions against shin splints and the like, I’d be most grateful.
Thanks for listening. Thanks for always loving and supporting me.

Mwah (xoxoxoxo),

Cath
