Finding Peace in a World That’s Gone Mad

Finding Peace in a World That’s Gone Mad January 12, 2021

Transition and change are amidst us in this crazy, mad world. The last year has faced multiply challenges and drastic changes. Adjusting to the turmoil and finding a spot of peace can be a trick to master. Here are some ideas to get you started.

The Chatter of Fear

Our brains chatter all the time. Many times it likes to warn us of danger but is it as accurate as it should be? Fear is something that lives inside of us and is multiplied by chaos, uncertainty and lack of control. Let’s face it, we like to be in control so that there are no surprised. It helps us to be prepared for surprises and emergencies, right? But it also interferes with growth and what the universe is trying to bring to you.

Mel Robbins is an American TV Host, Author and Motivational Speaker. She offers suggestions in the following video to “Control Your Brain.” Her belief is that if left to our own devise, we will most likely view uncomfortableness with negativity and increase our ‘flight’ response. In other words, we try to find or make ourselves comfortable rather than challenge ourselves for growth.

Anxiety is another beast

Panic attacks and anxiety are another beast. Many of us are staying home more than ever before. I often wonder how things will be when going back to some sort of normalcy. I know a few people who have trouble going out at all now due to their anxiety.

Lavender Essential Oil in a diffuser will help to calm. Magnesium is a good source to add to your diet. There are so many things that it can help with. Insomnia, leg cramps and stress levels are just a few. Vitamin D is also a good one to add. Especially in winter months if you live in New England. It helps with depression in the darker months.

Tapping or EFT can really help to relieve tensions.. Take your index fingers and tap in the area where your collar bone has indentations to try it out. This technique really helped me with my panic attacks. It gets you out of your brain and into the present.

And Then There is Magick

Take a blue candle (use white if you do not have a blue one.) Hold it in your hands on the Full Moon Eve. Contemplate what Peace looks like to you. Take Van Van oil or an Essential Oil such as Lavender and anoint the candle, starting at the base and moving out. Do this three times. Burn the candle in a safe spot. Meditate upon the flame of the candle. Be open for messages from your spirit guides. Allow the candle to burn completely out. Know that your magick is done.
