“Light Breaks Through” (Painting, “52 Make-Up” Week 14)

As I said, painting is a new artistic endeavor for me. In creating this piece I used an approach similar to what I use when improvising music: starting with a simple theme (in this case, the purple horizontal bar) and both adding directly to it and finding fills that fit in around it, until the whole piece starts to find its own way.
