Rocky Mountain High

Last weekend was the long fall weekend in Minnesota schools — the kids had Thursday, Friday, and Monday off.  Since I was asked to perform a wedding of long-time friends in Colorado, we decided to all go as a family.  We spent the long weekend at the YMCA of the Rockies – Snow Mountain Ranch near Winter Park. Incredibly, it snowed a bunch while we were there.

The weekend was the Family Fall festival, so it was full of fun and games, Halloween costumes, and horseback rides.

It was rustic, but we had a great time, including a family Jenga tournament, won by Tanner (7).

Now, it’s off to D.C. again this weekend for an event with the National Capital Presbytery — there’s still room (and it’s free) if you want to come.  I’ll be co-presenting with Sally Morgenthaller.
