Ephesians 3:20 is one of my favorite verses, and one that I have claimed many times when I’ve faced difficult situations in my life! Thinking about this verse brings a sense of peace that I can’t really explain. Admittedly, I know the words by heart: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think..,” and these words come to my mind quickly when I need them! This verse serves as a reminder that God knows far more than I do, and reiterates the fact that even when I don’t know how to pray, or what to ask for, He already knows! Honestly, I can’t even begin to imagine the things that are within God’s realm of possibilities, and I’m grateful for that! God makes all things possible!
Perhaps the most amazing part is realizing that God knows what I need before I even ask, and yet He listens to me anyway! He wants me to communicate with Him and share my life with Him.
God cares about the things that concern me, He knows me, He loves me, and He holds all the answers I’ll ever need! And, if you will let Him, He will be all those things for you too!
Ephesians 3:20 Is a Great Bible Verse to Memorize ~
In all truth, I want to share this verse with those of you who read and follow my posts because this verse can apply to almost any situation that arises where you just might not have the answers you’re searching for in your life.
- If you need healing, God knows.
- If you need provision, God knows.
- If you need protection, God knows.
There’s nothing you could ever need that God can’t deliver.
I can happily admit that I’ve recalled these words in prayer more times than I can count! Times when I desperately needed direction, intervention, and answers ~ Times that I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I needed God to show up right then and there to help me through! His faithfulness to me is a wonderful thing!
I especially recall this verse when I am asking God to heal people that I love and care about, or when I just feel lost about what comes next! It immediately comes to the forefront of my mind!
Praising God for Answered Prayers ~
I can testify of situations where I have prayed using this specific scripture and seen God answer the petitions of my heart. One of the first such instances that I can recall, was when my son needed surgery at a young age.
This mother’s heart was a nervous wreck, and God led me to this verse for the very first time the night before his surgery. I wrote it, spoke it, claimed it and I saw God do exactly what He said He would. It immediately became a favorite verse at that very moment.
At other times, I have seen Him show up at exactly the right time, in seemingly impossible situations, where I’ve recalled this verse, not knowing what to ask God for at all.
Other times, I have seen God give guidance and discernment, when it seemed that all hope was lost!
It’s important to give God the Glory for answered prayers and I do, and hope that you do too! We should also diligently share our testimonies of His faithfulness for others to see! It’s a great way to share the goodness of God with those who don’t have a relationship with Him!
“Soo together let’s share our testimonies! Let’s be bold and be determined to let our lights shine for all to see!”
Looking Back Over Our Lives Allows Us to See How Our Faith Has Grown~
Hopefully, if you are a believer, you can look back over the past years of your life and see areas where your faith has grown. I can wholeheartedly tell you that my faith has grown exponentially through the years. Again, I’m thinking of times when this Bible verse has been a big part of the journey!
There is no doubt that as I have encountered God, called out to Him, and relied on Him, I’ve seen Him show up, and my trust has grown. Throughout the decades of my life I’ve been blessed to see God move on my behalf, and it has taught me to recall specific Bible verses and claim them in times of trouble.
Living and learning as I go along is all part of God’s plan for my life, and it is for yours also. I personally love the fact that I can testify of the goodness of God and confidently call on Him to answer prayers still today!
Prayer Request ~
I have very recently had a prayer request answered by God that was really important to me. I’m extremely grateful for the fact that He heard my prayers and the prayers of others who were praying with me. In all truth, I can’t imagine my life without my faith and friends and family who share that alongside me.
It is comforting to know that there is power in prayer!
The Bible tells us, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them,” in Matthew 18:20. Knowing and applying this verse means that there is power when we pray together in the name of Jesus, and that is a wonderful reason to ask others to help pray over situations that concern you.
Having said that, I have a few unspoken prayer requests that I am asking you to help me pray over. God knows all the details and I am believing for His healing hand to touch these needs right now! (As always, I am praying this in Jesus name, and claiming that by His stripes we can ask for healing! ~ Move in these situations Father God! Amen!)
I’m expecting to have yet other testimonies of healing for these requests! Pause and wait just a minute …. Let me say it this way instead:
“I AM EXPECTING GOD TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY MORE THAN I CAN THINK OR ASK, IN JESUS NAME! AMEN!!! ~ See! I told you this verse comes to my mind often!
Won’t you join me in praying for this unspoken request? I am confident that there is power where two or more join together, I am believing and I’m thanking Him, and you, in advance! God really does answer prayers!
Maybe you need this verse to claim over situations in your own life! God is listening! Give it to Him in prayer, and whisper this verse as you do! ~ Finally, together let’s all let go and let God be God!
