Those of you who are regular readers of my blog know my allegiance with the New Orleans Voodoo Spiritual Temple runs strong. Priestess Miriam has been a teacher, a godmother, and a friend to me for over two decades. She presided over the funeral of my daughter, and then, as always, she helped to save my life. Unfortunately this Monday Morning, Feburary 1, the Temple and Cultural Center suffered a fire. Priestess Miriam today sent out these words
The Voodoo Spiritual Temple and Priestess Miriam appreciate your support. The cultural Center suffered a fire on February 1, 2016 … It destroyed the Cultural Center but the Temple remains. We need to pull together to help Priestess Miriam rebuild the Cultural Center and Temple which is her heart and soul. Priestess Miriam appreciates your support and remains in good spirits, despite the tragedy that took place … We can and will pull together to support her… Please donate to help rebuild the only Voodoo Spiritual Temple in New Orleans! We look forward to your love and support… May your heart be light and your soul be caring throughout the year.
