The shopping daze of the holidays are upon us. Elbow pushing, toe trampling, bad caroling, creepy Santas and snow filled with “ cigarette packs, and dirty snacks, and things that make you blush,” squeeze our spirits and our souls this time and of year. We want to be the best parents, partners, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, and friends we can be. We want to buy thoughtful gifts, continue honored traditions, create new memories and not have to lose our minds and break our banks to do it. According to the National Retail Federation more than 35 million people shopped last Thanksgiving 2012. Shopping is the new tradition like it or not. So what can we do to prepare? Sounds like it’s time for a money spell. So pack your mittens, your money and your mojo.

Fill Your Pockets

This is the simplest of all money spells: make sure you pockets aren’t empty. Like attracts like, this is a principle of many different spiritual systems. It literally pays to make sure your wallet, pockets,and purse or pocketbook are never empty.

Change Your Prosperity

This tip is really a simple magic spell for attract more wealth and making sure whatever money you spend only serves to bring you more opportunities for financial growth. Rose of Jericho, also known as resurrection plant is a common tool

that I have seen used by practitioners of New Orleans Voodoo, Hoodoo, Santeria, and Haitian Vodou. For this working you will need a Rose of Jericho, a pinch of cinnamon, and all the spare change from your latest shopping trip. Take a large bowl and fill it up halfway with a combination of spring water ( which will bring in renewed prosperity) and tap water (which will serve to represent the spirit of place, namely your home.) Into the bowl you will place the spare change and the pinch of cinnamon. Focus your mind on drawing blessings and prosperity towards you. Then place the Rose of Jericho ( Selaginella Lepidophylla ) into the bowl. Place the bowl in a sunny window, and refill with water as needed. After about 10 days the plant may start to get funky, at this point take it and leave the contents of your bowl at the base of a large tree, or at a crossroads. This is to symbolize it’s continued journey through the realms of opportunity and growth.

Silver and Gold Oil

Silver and gold are universal currencies. In Santeria, also known as La Regla Lucumi, there is a popular formula to increase wealth called Oro y Plata. This oil is used to bring prosperity, get a loan, clear up debt, and honor the deity Chango.

Ingredients:

Gold and Silver glitter

6 drops Orange oil

6 drops Cinnamon oil

1 drop Clove oil

Sweet almond oil for base

Combine all ingredients in a small bottle and shake to combine while you focus you thoughts on bringing success into your life. Use the oil to anoint your hands and feet before going out to shop, anoint your wallet, a blank check made out to yourself and/or rub on prosperity candles and burn for added effectiveness.
