Garden Water Blessing

Garden Water Blessing December 28, 2013

In the evening before the day of your garden blessing, prepare sacred water in a sacred vessel. Gather lavender, basil, rosemary, sage and white rose petals and head to your garden.

Place…

  • Sage in the North
  • Lavender in the East
  • Basil in the South
  • Rosemary In the West (Also known as Rose of the sea)
  • Rose petals in the center.

Carry your sacred vessel containing your water to the North. Place the bowl on the ground, pick up the Sage and crush it in your hands while sprinkling it into the water. Say Sage Deva I ask that you assist in the blessing of this garden. Carry the bowl to the East and do the same for Lavender then continue for the other herbs in their directions. Come to the center and do the same with the White Rose petals. Leave the sacred vessel in the center of the garden over night. At sunrise (or when you get up) the next morning. Go back to the garden and pick up the sacred vessel containing the herbal water and head to the north of the garden. Say…

Sage in the North I ask you bless this garden with prosperity and bounty. Sprinkle some water in the North and continue sprinkling as you walk to the East and say…

Lavender in the East I ask you bless this garden with knowledge and understanding, sprinkle more water in the east and continue while walking to the south and say…

Basil in the South I ask you bless this garden with spark and passion. Sprinkle more water in the south and continue while walking to the west and say…

Rosemary in the West I ask you bless this garden with creativity and love. Sprinkle more water in the west and continue while walking to the north.

When you have done full circle go to the center and sprinkle the rest of the water in the center and say…

With the power of the White Rose
I bless this garden with purity and love.
With the power of the moon above
and the ground below
I plant these seeds so they may grow
With wisdom prosperity and love
For all her creatures serpent, spider, rabbit and dove…
