Seeking the Pentacle Path of the Witch? Just start. March 30, 2024

A bit of witchy poetry that I pulled out of my Elemental Witchcraft manuscript due to length constraints… Enjoy!

Seeking the Pentacle Path

Seekers who take the witching quest,
for truest truths, with powers to test,
for treasures sought and love attained,
must venture there and back again.
You’ll have tales to tell, and scars to tend,
but there is wisdom only struggle can wend.

The trailhead lies beneath your feet,
to sovereignty, truth, power, love and completion,
like crossing strokes of the witch’s star,
each path leads deeper, finer, farther
never-ending, ever-starting
each new hedge is meant for parting.

The heading matters nought
so-as the going is fraught.
Cast your lot to the four winds,
with time to spend with each new friend
singing to each wayside bloom
listening reverently beside each tomb.

Be sovereign-crowned in magick’s helm,
because Witches are of this middle realm,
life’s lovers, starry eyed and cloaked in earth,
through exquisite death, and joyous rebirth
With dragons to either slay or beguile,
along the wyrding way we while.

Like a lantern fueled by conscious yearning
the way is lit by our witch-flames, burning.
We’re born to pass through each liminal gate
and beyond the bounds of oppression escape,
into accepting chambers of the God/dess’s heart.
How can you attain all this? Dear seeker, just start.
