The author of "Faithful Citizenship," a weekly column at Patheos on religion and politics, Greg has written on narrative, culture, religion, and politics for many print and web publications including The Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Poets & Writers, Christianity Today,and Relevant. Greg is Professor of English at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he has received university-wide teaching honors from both the administration and the student congress. At Baylor, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in creative writing, literature, film, and theology. A licensed lay preacher in the Episcopal Church, he is Writer in Residence at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas, and at Gladstone's Library in Hawarden, Wales.
Greg regularly speaks, gives readings, preaches, and leads workshops and retreats across the U.S. and overseas, and is a frequent media guest who has appeared on National Public Radio, CBS Radio, BBC Radio, and The Bob Edwards Show. He lives in Austin with his sons Jake and Chandler.
