Experienced Journalists Patton Dodd and Dilshad Ali Will Allow for Broader Coverage of Religion in the United States

DENVER — June 1, 2011 — Patheos.com, the world's premier online destination for global dialogue on religion and spirituality, today announced the hires of Patton Dodd and Dilshad Ali to the site's editorial team.

As the new managing editor of Patheos.com, Dr. Dodd is a former senior editor at Beliefnet and a former contributing editor at Killing the Buddha. His writing on religion and culture has appeared in a wide range of publications, including Newsweek, Slate, the Financial Times and Christianity Today. He is the author of My Faith So Far: A Story of Conversion and Confusion (Jossey-Bass). He holds a Ph.D. in religion and literature from Boston University.

Ms. Ali is the managing editor of the Patheos Muslim Portal. She has covered Muslims and Islam in America for more than 10 years for a variety of media outlets, including Newsweek, Altmuslim.com and Islamica. Ms. Ali is a former Islam editor at Beliefnet.
