Few of us can disconnect from our jobs, families, and full lives to live like Michel Pascal at the Kopan Monastery in Nepal where he mastered the art of meditation to overcome stress.  However, we can learn from his experiences and those shared by Leonard Perlmutter, one of the Western world’s leading pioneers in the introduction of yoga meditation. Together their knowledge is the priceless antidote that can make all the difference in your world concerning the alleviation of stress because research has proved that stress is a killer.

Tonight on the Kat Kanavos Show Michele Pascal and Leonard Perlmutter join in the worldwide celebrate of the 70th year anniversary of Yogananda’s Biography of a Yogi by sharing their wisdom on why we experience stress and how we can overcome it.

Michel Pascal explains that by “meditating in the moment” we can calm our mind and break the cycle of stress addiction, while Leonard Perlmutter shares the research behind his eight-step method for managing the life force energy that propels and connects us to the infinite power found within and without us all.

They both tell amazing stories that highlight the result of mastering yoga and meditation.  It is within meditation’s  bliss and joy that we may discover our connection to Universal Oneness.

Yes, stress can be an addiction. A healthy daily dose of yoga and meditation is a natural cure.

How often have we had a wonderful day only to find ourselves worrying about the problems we imagine are waiting right around the corner.  As children, we may have feared the boogeyman hiding under our bed at days’ end. Now as adults it is often our daily life that feeds our fear.  We may feel problems are ready to pounce on us when we least expect it because we believe our life is so full of crisis we cannot go for long periods of time without experiencing one.

Now, imagine viewing stress differently. Imagine viewing it as a choice.

Make the decision to not see a challenge as stressful, but rather as a learning opportunity. If you keep getting the same test over and over and fail at it perhaps you have not completely learned your lesson, yet. Rather than seeing the information as punishment, use it to grow and improve your life. Start by focusing on a different outcome fueled by a different action.

What can you do to improve a challenging situation and reduce your stress? Practice Meditation.

Today, evidence from research proves that meditation improves health, mental acuity, emotional balance and spiritual connection.

While most North Americans today perceive Yoga as a valuable source of exercise and quieting of the mind, Leonard Perlmutter believes it is much more because Yoga evolved through ancient wisdom.

Yoga Science explains not just what to do but why you should do it.

Both Leonard Perlmutter and Michel Pascal believe our choices and actions energetically enhance or diminish our empowerment which influences our ability to live well, peacefully and successfully.

A fascinating revelation Leonard Perlmutter discusses during the interview is when you intentionally turn away from unhealthy temptations toward a better choice, it’s not a sacrifice or a denial. It is transforming your energy into greater potency, will power, physical vitality and unlimited creative potential.

Meditation is the gateway.

If you are not already doing so we challenge you to meditate once daily for one week. Here is how.

Assume a comfortable position and meditate for ten minutes once a day on anything positive. At the end of the week ask yourself these questions, “Do I feel less stressed after meditating? Has my life become more positive? Am I attracting more positive people and situations? Is my life more joyful?”

If you are already on a meditation routine, please share with us your favorite time of the day to meditate. What is your favorite meditation position, and how long did it take you to experience a change in your life?
