Prevention Dreams: Worth a Pound of Cancer Cure

Prevention Dreams: Worth a Pound of Cancer Cure November 1, 2017

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” ― Benjamin Franklin

November is Cancer Prevention Month and National Caregiver Month. Perhaps we should be our own caregivers by taking the necessary steps to prevent cancer. Our dreams can help.

Aggressive cancer often begins in a pre-cancerous form that is curable with minimal medical treatment; and in some cases, it can reverse itself without being conventionally treated at al

Reverse Pre-Cancer with a Lifestyle or Diet Change

Healthy change allows the body’s immune system to do its ‘thing’… fight off illness and keep you healthy. Perhaps, you are in fact preventing full blown cancer.

Prevent Cancer by Listening to Your Body

Signs and symptoms tell us something is right or wrong. These are often told to us in dreams. When your car begins to overheat, it is a sign that something is not right with the automobile. A symptom may be a burning odor. In the dream world, this symptom may be a shift into the realm of recurrent nightmares. The result from ignoring these symptoms in the car or your nightmare may be a complete breakdown. Early awareness and response to your car’s gauges can result in replacing the oil rather than the car.

Use Your Dreams to Help Prevent Illness.

Dreams are the way our physician-within can warn us of impending health problems and suggest changes for a healthy future. I survived three bouts of cancer by paying attention to her dreams and insisting on further diagnostic procedures despite the erroneous conclusions of doctors and the tests on which they relied. Warning dreams were my ‘caregivers’ that prevented a third very early cancer from becoming a malignant problem.

My warning dreams have now been researched professionally and found to be a positive factor in early detection, treatment, and possible prevention.

How Accurate are these Healing Dreams?

My experience with warning dreams is described in my best-selling book Surviving Cancerland: Intuitive Aspects of Healing, on NBC News’ Segment; Sneaky Medical Billing, and Coast to Coast AM Radio with host George Noory.

Medical Study Results

I was one of 20 women featured in the article “Warning Dreams Preceding the Diagnosis of Breast Cancer: A Survey of the Most Important Characteristics” by Larry Burk, M.D., which appears in the May–June 2015 issue of Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing.

The study reported that warning dreams of breast cancer were often life-changing experiences that prompted medical attention leading directly to a diagnosis. The most common characteristics of the dreams were:

  • A sense of conviction about their importance
  • More vivid, real, or intense than usual
  • An emotional sense of threat or dread
  • Use of the specific words “breast cancer or tumor”
  • A sense of physical contact with the breast.

I learned that paying attention to one’s dreams and asserting yourself can save your life. You know when a dream is prophetic if you can validate it with facts. I often said to my doctors, ‘Prove me wrong.’ The tests they performed to prove me wrong proved I was right and validated my dreams.

butterfly dreamsWrite your dreams in a dream journal beside your bed. If you have a daytime vision or waking-dream episode, write it down. I had dreams, seven years apart that communicated that the doctors were wrong. Each time a different dream told me to go back to the doctor and insist on more tests. I am still alive today because I paid attention to those dreams.

It’s important to remember your dreams, pay attention to your intuition, and be your own caregiver. Work with your doctors, financiers, coworkers, bosses, and family, but always remember that the final decisions in life are yours to make.

Be your own caregiver by listening to your dreams, making healthier choices and by paying attention to your body’s signs and symbols. These three things can help prevent illness, especially cancer, and allow you to live a more fulfilled life.
