Now, let me first state that I am an optimist that rarely allows ‘predictions’ to affect life’s outcomes. But I also like to know upcoming obstacles so I know how to avoid them. After all, I do believe we all have free will and free choice. So saying that, when I put a cryptic status on Facebook that read – If you thought March was rough—wait until April shines down on us, I received all kinds of messages, mainly from those reprimanding me for being negative. Now, that wasn’t the case. It was T.S. Eliot that wrote:
APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
April begins with much hope and excitement as the winter clouds are put away for another year, but by the middle of April changes occur. Astrologer Susan Miller explains – April will be a key month in 2014, for a great deal of change will head our way. This is due to the arrival of two important eclipses, first an emotional full-moon lunar eclipse in Libra on April 15, and then a new-moon solar eclipse in Taurus on April 29.
Change is good, right? Not everyone likes change. Most everybody hates change. It means that action has to be taken and that decisions have to be made. Not all change is bad, but many take it as such. Remember that I am a half glass full girl, so I am just preparing you, not scaring you.
Eclipses fall on a new moon or full moon, and they always come in pairs, two weeks apart. In April, they call these monster moons, and can bring some difficulties – like a monster in your closet ready to jump out and trip you up.
The first eclipse takes place on the full moon of April 15. Full moons are all about endings. You might see an ending of a job or of a relationship/friendship. But once again,with endings come new beginnings. Say with the ending of a job, it could also mean a promotion, not exactly the unemployment line. There will more than likely be difficult weather patterns, issues with other countries and huge headlines. Yes, I realize this is generic. I will talk more about what to expect mid-April in another post.
The second eclipse is a new moon on April 29th and brings new beginnings and new opportunities, and most importantly sets your course for the remainder of the 2014. Start making your life list now!
April will be a significant month for all of us. Just know that with each seed planted, fertilized and watered, brings new opportunities for blooms. It is your choice what you want to grow, or not grow.
