Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen) is described as a “Warrior Monk” who although is not a Jedi, is a believer in “The Force” and fights against the Imperial Forces in the Holy City of Jedha (more on this later). Chirrut meditates and also repeats the following Mantra over and over: “I am One with the Force, the Force is with Me”, which is very similar to common Sufi Muslim Dhikrs (a form of devotion in which the worshiper is absorbed in the rhythmic repetition of the name of God or his attributes) such as “La ilaha illa’llah” (There is no god but Allah) or “Allah Hu” (God is) “Haqq” (Truth).
