I Need Your Vote! Help Send me to Netroots Nation! May 1, 2013

I need your vote!

I also need your help.

As I have mentioned before, I am shifting into a new stage of life. I am no longer teaching at an institution, instead I am advocating and writing about social justice full-time both as part of Independence Rock Group: Center for Faith, Ethics, and Social Justice and here at Approaching Justice.

As a result of this shift, I need to network and branch out in a whole range of new directions. For this reason, I am competing for a scholarship that will allow me to attend the Netroots Nation Convention that will be meeting in San Jose this June. Netroots Nations is a leading gathering of Progressive bloggers and online activists.

Here is where I need your help. In order to lock in one of the scholarships, I need to be one of the top 5 vote-getters among the different people who have applied for the scholarship.

In the 36 hours since I submitted my application, I have moved from #101 to #37 in the rankings. Today, my goal is to move into top 30 by the end of the day. The voting ends on May 7th.

This is where you come in!

Please go and vote for me! It only takes a few seconds.

Once you have voted, please share either this post or my page at the Netroots contest with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere you would be so kind to do so. Every vote counts!
