    Waiting anxiously for it. Perhaps we can analyze The Hobbit as a Christian allegory in the vein of Pilgrim’s Progress.

    Why are the dwarves so thin and young-looking? They got the look of dwarves largely right in LOTR, but seem to be botching things up here. Bilbo is also entirely too skinny. To quote the author, “Hobbits are not quite as stocky as the similarly-sized dwarves, but still tend to be stout…” and “I picture a fairly human figure: fattish in the stomach, shortish in the leg. A round, jovial face; ears only slightly pointed and ‘elvish.”
    I’m looking forward to the movies, but things like this always drive me crazy.
