The fact is that the Restoration was precipitated by a question.  That’s what took Joseph Smith into the Sacred Grove.  And Moroni’s visit came in response to questions from Joseph.  The restoration of the priesthood came as an answer to questions.  So did most of the revelations in the Doctrine and Covenants.  The Book of Mormon is replete with prophets receiving answers to questions, and it encourages investigators of the Gospel to ask God whether it’s true.  And so forth.  Mormonism doesn’t forbid questions.
