“‘How Thankful We Should Be to Know the Truth’: Zebedee Coltrin’s Witness of the Heavenly Origins of Temple Ordinances” July 29, 2016

California's very first temple. Now, I believe, there are seven .
The Los Angeles California Temple (LDS.org).  Growing up in southern California, this was MY temple. It was the first temple in which I served, performing vicarious baptisms for the dead. My parents were sealed together in this temple after my father’s baptism, and my brother and I were sealed to them here.  Its image appears on their grave markers.

It being Friday, there’s a new article up in Interpreter: A Journal of Mormon Scripture:

“How Thankful We Should Be to Know the Truth”: Zebedee Coltrin’s Witness of the Heavenly Origins of Temple Ordinances

One of the co-authors is Dr. Jeffrey M. Bradshaw, who leaves in just a few days, with his wife, for a mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission.  It’s an honor to be involved, through the Interpreter Foundation, with such loyal and committed Latter-day Saints.  He has been serving as a very active, productive, and effective vice president for the Foundation, and will continue to do so, to the extent that he’s able, from Africa.
