The teenager died Christmas Day, just a week after making the brief videos below.  Read more about his life here and here. But watch these two brief YouTube clips (which have become a phenomenon on the Internet). They are his legacy — moving, heartbreaking, but ultimately luminous and full of hope.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord…

  1. Dc. Patrick McAvoy says:

Wow!! Powerful!! I certainly hope and pray that he had those same feelings in death!! Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him!! Rest in peace!

  2. naturgesetz says:

Who knows what these and similar near-death experiences really mean? Obviously Kid Cudi isn’t in the afterlife. But Ben’s courage and faith should be an inspiration to many, and his account and story are deeply moving.

  3. Just heard his mother interviewed on CNN. She did not see these YouTube vids until two days after he passed!

  4. Well, tears were coming down my face. He is with God now.

  5. May the Lord be swift to welcome him into His heavenly kingdom and may he grant healing to his family and friends.

  6. Ben’s message is from heaven and he is a messenger to ease the pain of loosing a child. I was attempting to share reading material regarding life after death cases of the “light and peace” to a dear friend over the loss of a daughter to suicide just weeks ago. I left her with tears and hoping for some proof to lighten the heaviness from mourning her daughters young life ending so traumatically. Ben has been God’s Angel to all of us seeking the answer to the passing of our loved ones into peace and eternal life. Thank you, Ben for giving us such a beautiful message to never forget!
