Owed to joy: check out this thrilling symphony flash mob

Just when you thought this contrivance had been done to death, somebody finds a new and delightful way to bring a little joy into everyday life. This first popped up on YouTube last summer, but since we have a while into the Hallelujah! flash mobs start up again, let’s indulge ourselves, shall we?

This comes from a Spanish bank, which notes:

On the 130th anniversary of the founding of Banco Sabadell we wanted to pay homage to our city by means of the campaign “Som Sabadell” (We are Sabadell) . This is the flashmob that we arranged as a final culmination with the participation of 100 people from the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, the Lieder, Amics de l’Òpera and Coral Belles Arts choirs.

Enjoy.  Deacon readers might be interested to know that this melody (sung as “Lord, You Gave the Great Commission”) was the processional at my ordination in 2007. (The recessional, btw: “Go To the World.”)
