Brad Matthies Among The Truthers

My colleague Brad Matthies has posted a review of the interesting-sounding book Among the Truthers: A Journey Through America’s Growing Conspiracist Underground by Jonathan Kay.

For the record, he’s the one who connected that book’s focus with mythicism, not me.

So this book deals with Mythers? If it does that might justify me buying it :)

Mythicism per se?  Probably not. However, I suspect that you’ll see many of their same characteristics in that which Kay discusses. This quote in particular made me think of the mythicist discussions on this blog.

“The conspiracy community insists, as…the late lawyer Louis Nizer once observed, that the failure to explain everything perfectly negates all that is explained.”

He’s got an interview discussing it over at Point of Inquiry.
